Order a blank for your next project. I can keep it as basic as possible for your own hands-on touch, or I can make them ready to attach wings. I offer routing and inlay options . Submit a request.
See below for current inventory of available pre built neck through body blanks for sale.
See bottom of page for options, specs, and pricing for a custom made blank.
25" scale length
20" radius fretboard
- Fret ends have been angled only, frets will need to be leveled and dressed.
Links directly below will take you to blanks pages for specs and pictures.
Make sure you match the ANGLE of your blank to the BRIDGE you will be using for your build. Refer to the INFO page for additional explanation if you are not familiar with this.
Fret tangs are slightly larger than a fret slot. When they are installed, it results in a slight back-bow in the neck. (Picture above shows this effect exaggerated on an unattached fretted board).
When you receive your blank, the truss rod will be in the neutral position. It may appear the neck is slightly curved. This will be corrected (or partially corrected) by string tension which will pull the neck in the opposite direction that the fret tangs are bowing. Different string gauges will produce different results. Final adjustment is then made with two-way adjustable truss rod which can correct any remaining neck curvature in either direction.
Hopefully, if you are attempting to build your own guitar from a neck-thru blank, you fully understand these and other related concepts. I just wanted to mention this for any novice willing to tackle such a project.

Due to supply line interruptions, inflation, and other factors, many materials are priced on request as per market price and availability. Many woods that were previously obtainable are currently scarce. Inlay sets are also difficult to come by. I have no problem receiving materials by a client. Be sure to discuss with me prior to ordering. Ebony is currently not available locally to me. Will have to be supplied or ordered online. Any wood not listed will be priced on request if available.
