When I first started out long ago, I scored some quality burled maple from Canada off eBay but it was too small to fit my large pointy shapes. The solution was a Yavcon version of a traditional single cut-away. Made a bunch of these before and one after the original run. I've come to like it more over the years.
This Guitar is SOLD and not available for purchase. NOTE: This guitar is a PROTOTYPE. It was created during experimentation of processes and equipment in an effort to learn where adjustments and improvements were needed.
This guitar has the first attempt of what I call "Organic Webbing." In the 90's when I was getting a lot of tattoos, I was partial to tribal stuff (before it became a fad) as well as a style depicting an almost cellar structure in layers. This became the inspiration for this feature. I hope to do more of these.
The bridge is a custom modified Jaguar/Mustang style unit. I removed the posts by drilling them out and mounted it to a wood baseplate which was made to fit on standard tune-o-matic style posts. I shaved down the front lip of the metal bridge base to remove any possibility of string interference. Each saddle is adjustable front to back for intonation, up and down for action, and the barrel saddles have grooves for custom string spacing.
